Haitians Hold On To Their Faith In Midst Of Quake Crisis

January 31. 2010

Satellite imagery of Haiti after a 7.0 earthquake this month

Even during the worst earthquake in 200 years to strike the island of Haiti, Christians on the island continue to hold on to their faith, refusing to waver in the face of adversity.

In the Bible, many people went through great trials and tribulations, in which their faith was tested, but they came forth as gold, rising again after each hardship they faced. The people of Haiti are to be commended for their bravery and endurance through tough times.

Many Haitians' religious faith unshaken by earthquake

January 18, 2010 -- Updated 0342 GMT (1142 HKT) - Port-au-Prince, Haiti (CNN) -- The steeple clock at Port-au-Prince's St. Pierre Catholic Church is stopped at 4:53, the hour at which a devastating earthquake struck Haiti nearly one week ago.

The church gates were closed Sunday. The doors shuttered. But it seems Tuesday's quake has only strengthened the religious fervor many Haitians carry in their souls.

"A lot of people who never prayed or believed -- now they believe," said Cristina Bailey, a 24-year-old clerk.

In parks and backyards, anywhere a group gathers, the prayers of the Haitians can be heard. Last week, the call-and-response chanting and clapping that accompany those prayers pierced the darkness of night and the pre-dawn hours -- sometimes as early as 4 a.m. The singing and praying was particularly intense in Champs de Mars plaza, where hundreds of people have taken refuge. But the scene was repeated throughout the city, with preachers on megaphones exhorting the faithful, who responded with lyrics like "O Lord, keep me close to you" and "Forgive me, Jesus."

Many preachers are telling followers not to lose faith, that God remains with them regardless of what's happened.

Most Haitians don't feel abandoned, Bailey said. "People don't blame Jesus for all these things," she said. "They have faith. They believe that Jesus saved them and are thankful for that."

Perhaps few personified that deep belief better than 11-year-old Anaika Saint Louis, who was pulled from the rubble Thursday night and later died. Her leg had been crushed, and doctors thought they might have to amputate her feet. She said she didn't care.

"Thank you, God, because he saved my life," she said. "If I lose my feet, I always had my life."...

Leaving The KKK Behind

December 31. 2009

God can change anyone for the better. Former KKK hate group member, Richard Harris, left the organization, touched by the grace of God, compelling his heart to make a change. Today he in an author and pastor of the Living Hope Community Church in Lakeland.

The Bible says of Jesus, "Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved" - meaning through faith in Jesus and changing one's unethical ways, salvation can be obtained. It is a guarantee that when this life is over, you will go to heaven forever in the next one.

Gospel Delivers Lakeland Pastor From KKK to God

Last Modified: Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:14 p.m.

Richard Harris, pastor of Living Hope Community Church in Lakeland, wrote "One Nation Under Curse" about his days as a member of the KKK in Indiana and how he was called to his religious faith.

The photo shows a skinny, shaggy-haired teenager with huge 1970s-era glasses. He's wearing a white satin robe and on it is the insignia of the Ku Klux Klan.

The Rev. Richard C. Harris shakes his head slightly. "It's hard to believe it was really me because I don't have those beliefs anymore," he said...

Harris, pastor of Living Hope Community Church in Lakeland, has been out of the Klan for more than 30 years now. He has been speaking out against the Klan and its racism for a long time, but he just published a book about his years in the KKK, "One Nation Under Curse," which has landed him guest appearances on numerous nationally syndicated radio talk shows.

The "curse" he refers to - a word employed by the Klan with pride - is racism. With the election of Barack Obama as president, some might think that racism in America is a thing of the past, but Harris emphatically disagrees.

"The Emancipation Proclamation didn't do it. The Civil War didn't do it. The civil rights movement didn't do it. I'm sorry, but a black man in the White House is not going to change the racial tensions inbred in this country," he said...

Modern Music Is Perversely Promoting The Occult

November 30. 2009

"Jay-z Exposed Extended Trailer"

A number of websites have been exposing rapper Jay-Z as a follower of Freemasonry, which is the occult (Satanism). The rapper's music, videos, photograph and clothing, arrogantly proclaims this faithless belief and destructive mindset, worshiping money and the ways of evil, rather than Jesus.

Backward masking of his music reveals items such as "Murder murder Jesus 666" "Catholics I gotta murder them" and "I can introduce you to evil" as members of Freemasonry are encouraged to write and speak backwards.

There is another Satanic book detailing the "Code Of Conduct" that Jay-Z follows and one of the central themes is "Do What Thou Wilt" - a slogan and credo Jay-Z had emblazoned on a sweatshirt:

Jay-Z is a follower of devil worshipping Freemason and occultist Aleister Crowley, who espouses the term "Do What Thou Wilt" which is destructive

Yet this is a man (Jay-Z) that has deceptively marketed his music and clothing line to kids and adults alike, bringing this garbage into your lives and homes.

Jay-Z and fellow artist Kanye West making a pyramid sign with their hands, associated with Freemasonry and the occult

Not to mention, this is who singer Beyonce married, while professing to be a Christian, though her behavior indicates otherwise. Boycott him and all associated with him, such as his fellow artists, as they are engaging in this terrible behavior. There are other celebrities mixed up in this madness as well, namely Kabbalah members such as Madonna.

Rap's War Against The Faith

October 31. 2009

Jay-Z

Ungrateful rappers such as Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, have proclaimed themselves atheists, while spreading their poisonous music to people's children. Their lyrics are laced with profanity, misogyny, violence, abuse, anger and slurs, with a divisive underlying message that goes against the faith.

Jay-Z, is married to hypocritical singer, Beyonce, who claims she is a Christian, yet does not exhibits the evidence thereof, as her deeds are filled with avarice, envy, greed, theft and resentment, regarding others with anything of financial substance or social prominence.

Jay-Z is a bitter, hateful rapper, that was always resentful of anyone who had anything and resorted to selling drugs, as a way to live a lavish lifestyle, rather than earn an honest living. He then took that drug money and parlayed it into a music company, where he robbed his partner and many others out of copyrights, in violation of the law.

Jay-Z's new album contains questionable lyrics on songs such as "Empire State Of Mind" which state, "Jesus can't save you. Real life starts when church ends."

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne unwisely proclaimed in an article, "I don’t believe the Bible, nothing that’s written, because nothing that’s written is to be believed… Well. There is one [book] I read and get information from. The da*n dictionary."

He also has lyrics such as "Whip it like a slave" that caused much offense in the black community. He is currently facing prison time for illegal gun possession.

Rather than be thankful for the podium they have, some rappers engage in lascivious behavior and set terrible examples for young people listening to their music.

You should not allow your children to support such people in any manner, as it is detrimental to their mental health and social well being.

Free Speech Challenges

October 31. 2009

A 67-year old Christian, Pauline Howe, wrote to her local council, stating she did not agree with a gay pride parade, labeling it "indecency" and they visited her, “Warning her she might be guilty of a hate crime and that the matter had been passed to police.”

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the danger of regulating people's speech. The least little thing a person says that is in peaceful, non-threatening disagreement with someone else's view, becomes hate speech.

It undermines free speech and democracy, when a person cannot simply state a peaceful opinion without being threatened.

Hate crimes case in Britain should signal a warning to Christians in America

October 28, 10:56 - The problem is not exclusive to Great Britain. More than ever before, free speech and religious freedoms are under attack right here in America.

In last night’s legal segment of Fox’s 'The O’Reilly Factor,' the panel discussed the story of Pauline Howe a 67-year old Christian woman who wrote a letter to town council voicing her opposition to a Gay Pride parade. Her letter reportedly stated the event is a 'public display of indecency' that was 'offensive to God'.

The Norwich City Council responded to Howe with their own letter “warning her she might be guilty of a hate crime and that the matter had been passed to police.”

“Two officers later turned up at the frightened grandmother's home and lectured her about her choice of words before telling her she would not be prosecuted,” according to UK’s MailOnline.

But Howe’s case still may be headed to court. The Christian Institute is “looking into potential breaches of freedom of speech and religious rights under the Human Rights Act, either by Norwich City Council or Norfolk Police.”

Here’s the reason Howe’s story is an important one to note in the U.S. The legal panel on Foxnews noted that we have the First Amendment, as if to say, a Mrs. Howe here in America is protected under constitutional law. Also, the consensus was that no judge in their right mind would prosecute an old lady whose “intent” was not to harm anyone. I understand this is because of the difficulty in proving someone's intent, and is a common defense.

However, there is a problem with the notion that 'intent' would determine the innocence or guilt in a hate crimes case...

Kirk Cameron Causes Controversy

September 30. 2009

Former teen star and current Christian preacher, Kirk Cameron, caused controversy this month in the mainstream media, due to his views on illogical, atheist Charles Darwin.

Cameron does have a point regarding what transpires with university students. Quite a few institutions of higher learning have hippie, atheist professors that try to strip away the faith of Christians, in a deliberate effort, which crosses the lines of decency, civility and what is appropriate.

They should respect the faith and people's right to be Christians, rather than engaging in a concerted effort to mock, ridicule and harangue Christians for our peaceful beliefs. It's almost as if some professors try to break the students, into giving up the faith.

Gays At Increased Risk Of Mental Disorders

August 31. 2009

Psychotic television writer, Christian hating homosexual Russell Davies

Homosexuality, goes contrary to the Bible, which states it is an acquired sin, which must be repented of and God will grant his forgiveness and heaven upon one's passing.

Until 30 years ago, homosexuality was listed by the American Board of Psychiatry, as a, "Mental disorder." Gays later lobbied to have it removed from the list. The United States Army still lists homosexuality as a, "Mental disorder."

This month, a report was released stating gays and lesbian are at an increased risk of needing mental health services.

Boston (DbTechNo) - If you are gay or lesbian, chances are you are at an increased risk of needing mental health services.

This is the finding of a new study by researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles.
